RayScan 500

3D-CT and 2D-CT for large and thick-walled objects

A 3D Computed Tomography system for large light alloy parts, which require an X-ray source with 450 kV due to their wall thickness.
Details of 0.1 mm – 0.3 mm can be detected.

Due to the mechanical design objects of up to a length of 1 m, a diameter of 600 mm and a weight of 50 kg can be scanned.

RayScan 500 has been optimized for short testing periods, in order to enable a high capacity especially in the field of fault detection.
Due to its direct 3D-CT the complete volume data are generated within some minutes.
For fast 2D-CT scans linear detector arrays can be integrated.

RayScan 500 is suited for the development, optimization and control of manufacturing processes. The analysis of volume data of the test object enables to draw a conclusion on the cause of faults of detected pores, cracks or inclusions.

Typical ranges of application of the 2D-CT mode are dimensional measurement, comparison with CAD data and reverse engineering.
